About Us

The institution's roots trace back to Engr. Romeo Sustiguer, who managed Green Valley Machinery in the 1990s. Faced with a shortage of skilled workers for growing production demands, he initially relied on costly labor from distant areas. When Mr. Ruden Jose and Mr. Evaristo Abu proposed opening a training center, Engr. Sustiguer saw an opportunity to resolve this challenge and established the Green Valley School of Arts and Technology (GVSAT) in 1995. Supported by the machinery company, the school focused on industry-based courses like mechanical and electrical technology. Under the leadership of Luz Sustiguer, it pursued growth opportunities and expanded its offerings. By 1998, increasing enrollment led to a new annex site in Koronadal, and the curriculum broadened to include fields such as hotel and restaurant management.

GVSAT continued to grow, requiring more space and resources. By 2007, with Engr. Sustiguer Sr. taking a more active role, the institution implemented new policies, becoming a top training center recognized by TESDA. The 2009 appointment of RJ Sustiguer introduced a focus on industry linkages and innovative practices. A major milestone came in 2010 with the construction of a new four-story building to double student capacity and offer additional programs in engineering and hospitality. Strategic partnerships with organizations like IBM and international institutions further solidified Green Valley's role as a premier educational organization. As of 2016, the institution remained committed to continual improvement in academics, research, and student services.
